Brighton Festival opens on Saturday 7 May 2022 with the Childrens Parade. Starting at 10:30 am in Jubilee Street. The procession travels to Madeira Drive, via New Road, North Street, East Street and Grand Junction Road before finishing in Madeira Drive at 1:00 pm.

A MINI FESTIVAL IN SUPPORT OF DEMOCRACY AND PEACE chaired by Caroline Lucas.
Featuring live music, debate, and poetry on the topic of Transcending Borders and Democracy under Fire, this will be an event not to miss!
Music by Undead Musicians Club celebrating the life of the late singer, songwriter and pianist Rich Beahan, with musical direction by Chris Hookway.
Debate on the subject of 'Democracy under Fire' with writer, journalist and co-founder of Byline Times - Peter Jukes, British Green politician, economist and ex MEP- Molly Scott-Cato and writer, artist and activist - Madeleina Kay.
Poetry read by students from Poetry by Heart on the theme of 'Transcending Borders'.
25% of money raised will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee - https://www.dec.org.uk/ - for their Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. Tickets £10 - £20, concessions, drop in. -
