Paul Chandler is the Lib Dem candidate for Brighton Pavilion. Paul is a founder member of the Liberal Democrats. He has stood for Parliament on several previous occasions the most recent being in 2015 when he stood in his home constituency of Brighton Kemptown where he moved in 2001. Since then he has moved to Pavilion and he will be our candidate there in the event of an early election.
In the past, Paul has had experience as a local councillor for over ten years and as a governor of several schools. He has run his own travel agency business and is currently involved in a property venture. He has also worked as a volunteer at the Citizen's Advice Bureau and in one of the city's soup kitchens.
Paul's political interests are in housing and in finance. When he was a local councillor he brought in the compete refurbishment of the local swimming pool and oversaw the construction of a new school in his ward.
On being selected for Brighton Pavilion, Paul said: "As both mainstream parties move to the extreme a political voice in the centre is more important than ever. I am proud and excited to represent that voice to the voters of Brighton Pavilion."
